In the first log-in, update the "My infos" and "My billing infos" tabs (you need to import this information once)
Fill-in requested information
Create a PCFpro project
Click on "New Project"
Billing: Select the Billing info from the drop-down menu
Title: Provide a short title of your project
Description: Provide a short and informative description of the project and the research question
Project type: Select the project type from the drop-down menu (see below the explanation of different options)
Comments: including post-translational modifications of interest and specific proteins
Sample state: Select the sample state from the drop-down menu
Buffer composition: Indicate the buffer composition of your sample
Hit Continue: 2 new tabs appear (Metadata and Analysis & Billing)
Project categories
Protein ID: basic protein identification experiment
PTMs identification and localization: post-translational modification identification and localization
Proteome-wide relative quantitation: relative quantitation across samples (with label or label-free)
Targeted or Absolute quantitation: absolute quantitation of selected proteins
Pull-down-MS: analysis of enriched sub-proteomes (immunoprecipitation, biotinilated proteins enrichment)
LC-MS/MS analysis of samples: analysis of processed samples
SILAC incororation assessment : assessing the metabolic labelling incorporation
Import relevant information and samples
Go to Metadata
Search for the organism of interest, select and hit +Add
In case of custom sequences, enter the sequence name and the sequence in a fasta format and hit +Add
Add the image (png, jpeg) of your gel (if applicable) by browsing and hit Update (you can delete with the delete button). In case of multiple gels please compile them in one file
Hit Data analysis if you want us to provide you with a full report
Organize sample drop-off
Send an email at pcf@epfl.ch to schedule the sample drop-off
